OVERVIEW
Inspired by food ethnographies from the likes of Mark Kurlansky, I created and developed this series (and later sold it to Tastemade) to tell the story of cultures from all around the world through the lens of their unique drinks.
Every episode was thoroughly researched to ensure the authenticity of ingredients, props, and process – with the overarching goal to transport viewers either to a fully realized world they’d never experienced, or provide viewers who grew up with this drink a portal back into their lived experiences.
I developed, directed, shot, and edited (or post-supervised) 70+ episodes, highlighting drinks from 30+ countries, and was honored to receive a James Beard Award for my accomplishments.
